Senior Program Manager

The Senior Program Manager reports directly to the executive director and the purpose of this position is to provide technical guidance to staff during the implementation of the project, ensure that the project is on target to meet its M&E goals, act as a secondary representative of FSLA to stakeholders in this project.

Key Responsibilities:

– Keep track of the monitoring and evaluation goals of the project.
– Advise staff members in reaching the monitoring and evaluation goals of the project.
– Assist in ensuring that reporting incorporates the monitoring and evaluation goals of the project.
– Advise staff on the technical aspects of the dialogue process and program implementation.
– Liaise with local governance actors in both project sites as needed.

Qualifications (education/work experience):

– At least 5 years of work experience implementing development projects.
– Bachelors Degree in law, political science, international development or a related field.
– Excellent knowledge of the Syrian conflict and current context.

Core and Technical Competencies:

– Excellent understanding of project implementation and monitoring and evaluation.
– Fluent Arabic.
– Working proficiency in English.

Project Coordinator

The project coordinator reports to the project director. The purpose of this position is to ensure that the project staff in Syria conforms to the needs of the Gaziantep staff and the main goals of the project. The project coordinator will be based in Gaziantep and will be assigned to one of two implementation sites.Key Responsibilities:

– Act as the liaison between the Gaziantep staff and the Syria staff.
– Inform the Syria staff of all aspects of project implementation.
– Gather regular information and reports from Syria staff.
– Advise on the situation, logistics, and security in project sites.
– Coordinate with trainers to schedule trainings for project staff and assist in developing training agendas.
– Supervise the implementation of the dialogue process.
– Complete other tasks as directed by the Project Director.
– Individual must be available to work full time (40 hours per week).

Qualifications (education/work experience):

– Bachelors Degree in law, political science, international development or a related field.
– Excellent knowledge of the Syrian conflict and current context.
– At least 1 year of experience in a management role.

Core and Technical Competencies:

– Excellent communication skills.
– Fluent Arabic.
– Working proficiency in English.

Position Description:

The project financial manager will report to the project director and the purpose of this position is to maintain the financial integrity of the project and maintain financial records. The financial manager will be based in Gaziantep and be assigned to handle the finances of two projects being implemented simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

– Monitor the budget during implementation.
– Ensure that the project is on track to meet its financial goals.
– Develop and maintain the payroll for staff in Gaziantep and Syria.
– Gather quotes from suppliers.
– Make purchases for the project (with the approval of the project director).
– Retain all invoices and receipts from vendors.
– Provide periodic financial reports.
– Complete other tasks as directed by the Project Director.

Qualifications (education/work experience)

– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business finance, or a related field.
– Experience with accounting and budget management of at least $50,000.

Core and Technical Competencies

– Proficiency with Quickbooks or similar accounting software.
– Highly organized.
– Fluent Arabic.
– English language skills are a plus.
