On April 3, 2018, CRLGG signed the Protocol of Cooperation between the International, Independent, and Impartial Mechanism (IIIM) and Syrian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Participating in the Lausanne Platform (Protocol of Cooperation) together with 27 other Syrian CSOs in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Protocol of Cooperation contains overarching principles that govern the collaboration between IIIM and Syrian CSOs and address issues of data transfer, witness and victim protection and support, transparency, and continuous dialogue. While the Protocol of Collaboration establishes the general framework of collaboration, it does not oblige the signatory CSOs to share their data with IIIM. The detailed working procedures on data sharing will be defined in separate memoranda of understanding between IIIM and Syrian CSOs.
